Additionally to the already existing two parts of our permanent exhibition, a third exhibition part will offer even more information for our visitors about everyday life in the GDR.

The preparations are taking part on two levels: A team consisting of DDR Museum staff members are working on the content for the exhibition's concept. This means that they are planning the exhibition's architecture, the different topics, media which is to be used as well as objects to be shown. The team which is lead by our scientific head Dr. Stefan Wolle consists of staff members from different departments: Colleagues from our collection department, social media as well as exhibition development department are bringing together their diverse expertise in order to prepare a versatile and demanding experience.

The second level of preparation is taking place on site: the interior design of our future exhibition space is being designed and supervised by a construction sie management.
