Audiences can ask questions their own questions of the speakers gain a vivid appreciation of the special quality of life in East Germany. We can provide eyewitnesses to speak on almost any aspect of life in the DDR. Popular topics include everyday life in the DDR, school life, work, their oppositional activities and imprisonment by the Stasi.
Eyewitness talks are also available in a number of foreign languages.
Children learn best when active. Our participatory workshops focussing on topics such as "ideology" and the "East German school system" enthuse pupils, enabling them to differentiate between concepts such as democracy and dictatorship. We organize workshops focussing on the following topics:
