Safety Concept of the DDR Museum

From 1 April 2022, according to the Berlin Senate, the corona-specific requirements for the cultural sector will no longer apply.

Here are some practical tips for visiting the DDR Museum.

What are the museum's opening hours and where can I get my ticket?

The DDR Museum is open as usual, daily between 9 am and 9 pm. This way, visitors can avoid potential rush hours. We generally recommend that individual travellers visit after 5pm.

Tickets can be purchased here in advance or on site.

What should I bear in mind when visiting?

There is no longer any obligation to provide proof or documentation for all groups of people and ages.

We recommend that you wear a medical or FFP2 mask during your visit and take personal responsibility for keeping an appropriate distance from other guests.

In addition to the hand disinfectant in the entrance area, further disinfectant dispensers are set up in the exhibition. The toilets are located in the second part of the exhibition. Furthermore, free disposable gloves are provided so that visitors can touch the many installations and objects.

Cleaning staff are on site during our opening hours to refill the soap and disinfectant dispensers and to clean and disinfect the exhibition, the museum shop and the sanitary facilities.
