Unfortunately, the local authorities have not made the Spree promenade accessible to the disabled; it is accessible only via a staircase or a very steep ramp. Wheelchairs can enter the exhibition via a side entrance; we would be happy to provide assistance. We would request disabled visitors to contact us (030 847 123 7 - 31) before their visit so that we can make any necessary arrangements.

The majority of the permanent exhibition allows barrier-free access; only the Trabi is accessed by a flight of steps. The exhibition has a number of tight corners and is often rather full, especially during the school holiday period. Should you wish to plan a visit to the museum when it is less full, we recommend that you come after 17.00. An accessible WC is available.

Service and guide dogs are welcome at the DDR Museum. Please present verification at the ticket desk.
