New film project »Orte Ost« with Dr Ilko-Sascha Kowalczuk

Berlin, 15 December 2025 – With its new film project »Orte Ost« (Places in the East), the DDR Museum is expanding its digital history education. Historian Dr Ilko-Sascha Kowalczuk takes viewers on cinematic journeys to important places of remembrance and future in East Germany. The pilot film about Oberschöneweide marks the start of the project. From January 2026, the series will appear regularly on the DDR Museum's YouTube channel.
