The Long Night of Museums 2025 is dedicated to the topic of love and sheds light on how it was lived in the GDR. The DEFA youth film »Seven Freckles«, which captivated more than 1.2 million visitors in 1978, takes centre stage. It is the story of Karoline and Robert, who experience their first love at a holiday camp. The Ovosiston pill, which was first produced in the GDR 60 years ago, plays an important role in the film. Three short guided tours invite visitors to take a walk through the GDR Museum and show the many facets of love in socialist society – from brotherly kisses to love of home and the first time.
Film screening at the DDR Museum: Seven Freckles | 8 pm and 11 pm (duration 76 minutes)
Short guided tours: Start at 19.30, 21.30, 22.00, meeting point: DDR Museum cash desk area

The Eisbären Berlin will also be stopping off with their exhibition truck and, together with the DDR Museum, will be looking back on an extraordinary club history - from its roots in the GDR to today's DEL record champions. Discussions with exclusive guests will focus on the development of the 15-time GDR Oberliga champions into one of the most successful ice hockey clubs in Europe. The focus will also be on the central role of the fans then and now.
