Nine Müller’s podcast visits the DDR Museum.
Nine-Christine Müller belongs to the generation that grew up in eastern Germany after reunification and, through the podcast she founded, explores the question of what East German identity means today – both personally and socially. And she does so deliberately without looking back nostalgically. For this special evening, she has invited the writer Marko Martin, who became known throughout Germany at the latest for his criticism of Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s Russia policy. His work and ideas will be at the centre of the discussion.
The event will also explore how narratives about (East) Germany are shaped – and what role they play in fostering social cohesion and shaping the future. »Eastwards: Conversations on East German Identities« is a podcast that brings together a wide range of voices and perspectives from eastern Germany.
