Stand to Attention! A very special Donation

A special highlight of the last few days was the visit of a unit of the German armed forces. The group comes from the Dahme-Spree-Barracks and they do not only wanted to visit the DDR Museum. Before they got their guided tour, which was planned within the framework of a political educational trip, they donated a tapestry, which is in a very good condition.

This tapestry hung inside a building of a trainee center in Berlin. Some of the soldiers heard about the DDR Museum and had the idea to donate the tapestry. We are very happy about their idea! They even have been so kind to carry the huge carped to our office.
