My first visit of the future exhibition space!

Today I had the first possibility to see the future exhibition and restaurant space, after my stay abroad.

At the moment, for me it is hard to imagine the museum appearance after the enlargement. Nevertheless compared to older pictures I noticed some changes.

The building worker build a wall between the old and the new exhibiton space. Thus the operating activities can go on without letting the visitor realize that a renovation is taking place. Behind this temporary wall, the partition wall will be broken down by the building worker, soon. Further walls were build and other were broken down. By doing all this, we are getting closer to our aim to double the museums space.

Also they are working at the fire sprinkling system. An interested gaze at the maschine for the producing of such fire sprinkling systems brought the question up to me: How is that maschine working? Luckily, at my daily work at the visitor service I am not getting in contact with such maschines, wherefore my missing understanding for the mode of operating is not getting a problem.

A strange feeling, to look at construction site and to know: in a view weeks, the exhibition place will be crowded with interested people.
