Ingredients:

Dough:

3 eggs

200g sugar

400g flour

175ml oil

200ml fizzy water

 ¾ sachet baking powder

1 pinch salt

Filling:

250ml milk

1 sachet blancmange powder cream flavour

150g jam (red, sort to taste)

250g curd

3 tablespoons sugar

1 pinch salt

Frosting:

1-2 tablespoons sour cherry sirup

100g powdered sugar

Sweets for garnishing the cake

Preparation:

  • Combine the eggs with sugar and oil and cream it with a mixer
  • Now mix the flour, the baking powder and the fizzy water in
  • Fill the dough in a greased “springform” baking tin and bake it in the pre-heated oven with 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes
  • After the baking time allow the cake to cool down
  • Cut two times horizontal through the dough
  • Cook the blancmange as directed (better a little bit more tight and sweet as usual) and allow it to cool down
  • Baste the lower cake base the curd and cover it with another cake base
  • Baste this with jam
  • Now put on the superior, last cake base
  • Scramble the powdered sugar with the sirup and baste the whole cake thinly with it
  • Garnish the cake with gummy bears, chocolate crispies, fruits or the like

For the preparation you should schedule about 1 hour. Your children will thank you the effort! Furthermore nibbling is always allowed! ;-)
