All important Berlin institutions related to the theme of “GDR” and the “division of the city” collaborate to create a free map both for passionate tourists and berliners.
On the map are all these institutions shown and on the back of it explained. Here an overview:
Additionally also the East Side Gallery, the oldest Watchtower, the Checkpoint Charlie, the Parliament of Trees and the White Crosses Memorial on the Spree at the Friedrich-Ebert-Platz are marked.
The map shows of course also the course of the Berlin Wall! Because it is not longer possible to see much of the former Wall, this is really important. Therefore the map is usefull for a long walk along its course. It also includes hystorical photos, important dates and a plan of Berlin local traffic.
The map is available at the counter of the DDR Museum as in all other registered institutions.
