Last Monday 8 years ago the DDR Museum was opened ceremoniously. Invited guests, a huge number of journalists, the team itself and all of the other participants celebrated deep into the night the realization of a vision: An unique interactive exhibition, which captures the life in the GDR and conveys it playfully. And despite of a really short night the team stood the next morning in front of the entrance door and watched how the director welcomed the first guests personally. Overall 24 hours, which nobody of the attendants won’t ever forget.
In everyday life we don’t allow us a look back, we watch out for the future of the DDR Museum. Where our way goes, which changes could be useful and what do we want to reach? The needs of our visitors, who you know from one’s own experience really good, act naturally a big part for these thoughts.
Who of us wants to stand in a line?! Nobody wants to and nevertheless was it yet inevitable for the visitors of the DDR Museum. Often not really long, but sometimes in the summer months till one hour.
To eliminate this inconvenience for our visitors, we developed for our birthday a new ticket system. From last Monday you could skip the line with our time-slot ticket, without paying only one Cent more. Tickets for the evening hours are one Euro cheaper than before and who wants to, nails down all benefits and additional temporal flexibility with a VIP-ticket.
For the evening hours the ticket costs only 5.00€, basically for all other times 6.00€. Spontaneous bought tickets at the till of the museum cost 7.00€, the temporal not limited VIP-ticket you get for 9.00€. All tickets can be printed comfortable at home.
Important to know: Temporal limited is only the admission moment, not the duration of stay in the exhibition. You can of course stay as long as you want to!
Are you worked up curiosity? Here you can look around in our new online ticketshop!
