A truly indispensable item on the agenda of the Berliner Kultursommer is imminent: The 27th Lange Nacht der Museen (Long Night of the Museums).
As one of 92 participating institutions, the DDR Museum will open it's doors from 6.00 p.m. - 02.00 a.m. tomorrow night, for having a focus on the „Bicentenario". The bicentenary of the independence of many Latin-American states offers the occasion for Berlin's museums to cast a glance at this special region.
The DDR Museum probes the causes of the myth Che Guevara. „Revolutionist or adventurer? Che Guevara and the German Democratic Republic (GDR)" is the title of the reading at the visitor center starting at 10.00 p.m.. A hint: Come early for reserving a good seat.
Our famous and popular DJ Albi from Plauen deals with the toppic "Wanderlust and Solidarity" in a musical way. Congenial to Buena Vista, Merengue-Sounds and famous GDR songs, the office-ladies will mix Latin-American Cocktails as well as typical GDR drinks. Alternatively, you are invited to enjoy a tasty draft-beer.
We're looking foward to the Lange Nacht and to several confabs with you on site.
