Christmas at the DDR Museum!

Meanwhile, we have also arrived at Advent season. It has become our
tradition at Christmas time to equip a showcase anew and have our own
Christmas tree in the exhibition!

My colleagues and I got the tree already last week. It was put up in the
exhibition just today to create festive atmosphere in the authentic GDR
living-room. You see: Much red, tinsel and the - for some people absolutely
essential - tree topper!

In one of the pictures you can see the showcase with a Sandmännchen Advent
calendar, biscuit baking forms, gift wrapping paper, tinsel and so on and so
forth!

Maybe you still have some Christmas decoration that you would like to donate
to us? It won't be shown in the showcase this year anymore but as the saying
goes: "Every year again..."
