Dear visitor,

Welcome to the DDR Museum! These pages provide all the information required for a pleasurable visit. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are happy to answer any questions you might have by telephone.

In contrast to other museums, the DDR Museum is open 365 days a year, even on public holidays. Please consult our opening hours. Apart from 24.12. - when we close at 16.00 - we are open late into the evenings, and you can stay until 22.00 every Saturday. Groups with over 100 members are able to book outside our opening hours: please contact our visitor relations

In addition to our opening hours and entry prices, these pages provide all-important details about topics such as: getting here by public transport; disabled access and barrier-freedom; payment with cards; and the range of guided tours available. A quick run-down is available via Frequently Asked Questions and educational services.

We have dedicated webpages for teachers and travel groups with group-specific information. Groups and school groups are requested to register before arrival.

We offer a well-stocked Museum shop offering authentic GDR products and souvenirs such as Vita-Cola and the "Sandmännchen" as well as books, CDs and DVDs focussing on the GDR. Our in-house publications such as the GDR Guide or the GDR Quiz are of particular interest. Our shop also stocks all the principal publications of our Chief Historian, Dr Stefan Wolle. If you can’t make it to Berlin, why not visit our Online shop?

We look forward to welcoming you to the DDR Museum and would be very interested in your feedback.
