- December 2006 ....... The exhibition catalogue was published
- May 2007 ................ The ›DDR-Spiel‹ (GDR-Game) was published
- 15. July 2007 .......... The museum game was presented within the exhibition
- January 2008 ........... Nomination for the European Museum of the Year Award 2008
- March 2008 ............. The visitor centre was opened
- September 2008....... Founding of the periodic event series
- Januar 2009............. The ›GDR-Guide‹ was published
- 9. October 2010........ The second part of the exhibition was opened
- 10. October 2010...... The DDR-Restaurant Domklause was opened
